7 killed in Pakistani missile strikes in Iran

On Thursday, Pakistan announced that it had carried out military strikes on insurgent groups in Iran during the previous night. This action was taken in response to the recent attack by Tehran on what they deemed to be “terrorist targets” within Pakistan.

In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry, it was announced that Pakistan had carried out a strategic and meticulously planned military operation earlier today. This operation involved a series of precise and well-coordinated strikes that specifically targeted various terrorist hideouts located in the Siestan-o-Baluchistan province of Iran.

The primary objective of these strikes was to eliminate the presence of terrorists in the region and disrupt their nefarious activities. As a result of these operations, a significant number of terrorists were successfully neutralized, ensuring the safety and security of the affected areas.

Pakistan acknowledges and holds in high regard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The primary and exclusive aim behind the recent action taken by Pakistan was to safeguard its own security and protect its national interest, a matter of utmost importance that cannot be undermined or sacrificed under any circumstances.

Iran has made statements regarding the strikes.

According to the official news agency IRNA, Iran recently experienced a series of explosions in its turbulent southeastern region.

According to an official in Sistan-Baluchistan province, where the city of Saravan is located, multiple explosions have been reported in various areas throughout the city, as stated by IRNA.

According to reports from Iranian media, a tragic incident occurred where a minimum of three women and four children lost their lives due to an explosion. It is deeply saddening to note that all the victims were identified as individuals of non-Iranian origin.

According to the Mehr news agency, multiple individuals were injured in the incident, as reported by Iran’s Tasnim news agency. Tehran has requested Islamabad to provide clarification regarding the strikes.

The Iranian strikes on targets in Pakistan resulted in a series of significant events and outcomes that had significant implications for both countries and the broader regional dynamics.

Iran announced on Tuesday that it had conducted airstrikes on the bases of Jaish al-Adl, an extremist organization operating in Pakistan.

According to the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan, the incident resulted in the tragic loss of the lives of two innocent children. The ministry strongly denounced the airstrikes, labeling them as an unwarranted transgression that violated the sanctity of Pakistan’s airspace.

Pakistan took the decision on Wednesday to recall its ambassador from Iran and also prevent Tehran’s envoy from returning to Islamabad, a response triggered by the recent strikes initiated by Iran.

The ongoing reciprocal attacks between Pakistan, which has a Sunni-majority population, and Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, have significantly increased tensions in the region. As a result, influential regional players such as China and Russia have called upon both nations to exercise caution and prevent the conflict from spiraling out of control.

In recent times, Iran has initiated comparable assaults on both Syria and Iraq.

The United States strongly condemned the series of attacks conducted by Iran in Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria on Wednesday. Tehran has justified these strikes by asserting that they targeted “anti-Iranian terrorist groups.” However, the US vehemently rejects this explanation and views these actions as a blatant violation of international law and an unacceptable escalation of aggression in the region.

The US stands firmly with its allies and partners in denouncing Iran’s actions and demanding immediate cessation of such hostilities. Furthermore, the US emphasizes the importance of upholding stability and security in the region and calls upon Iran to engage in peaceful dialogue instead of resorting to violent measures. The United States remains committed to working closely with its allies to address the ongoing threats posed by Iran and to ensure the safety and well-being of all nations involved.

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed strong disapproval of the recent strikes, emphasizing that the United States strongly condemns such actions. He highlighted the concerning fact that Iran has repeatedly breached the sovereign borders of three neighboring countries in a very short span of time, causing alarm and raising serious concerns for regional stability.
